December 16, 2005

Sadie is doing really good, like most kids excited for Christmas. Her shot schedule was a little off because of a small 24 flu bug; but we are almost back on track. She is doing much better with the Enbrel shots then in the past. Sadie's ankle seems to be doing well, although we have had some days where she has been hurting. Maybe it's the weather.. who knows!

I wanted to quickly say that there has been a few people who have approached us about what they can do for our family. I have to say this... Bill and I didn't make all of Sadie's JRA information public until recently because we don't want people to feel bad for us, or worry about us. What we want is for people to know it is out there. Change does not come with ignorance, so we are taking the time to share in hopes that the statistics on JRA will change; through research, medications.. whatever. If people really want to do something for our family, we ask that you keep us in your prayers. We are strong, Sadie is by far the strongest, but no one can have to many prayers said for them. We appreciate the love that is being poured out to us, people we haven't even met asking us how they can help... it's humbling.

As the week of Christmas approaches, please remember the meaning of it all - there is no spirituality found by shopping or getting the perfect gift. God Bless.
