Sadie had a great night. Her evening wasn't wonderful leading up; she was over tired and fighting sleep (unintentionally), but she made some huge progress last night and this morning. First, she is off IV medication and on oral medication and tolerating that well. She was only up last night to take meds and use the restroom. She had at least one stretch of 3 hrs of sleep!
This morning, she used the crutches to get from her bed to the bathroom (it's a shared room and she is on the far end - btw... there is no one in the room with us and this room is HUGE); she did great and even returned to bed with not much increased pain even after saying (standing on her left leg) to brush her teeth.
All and all... she is doing great. She is still have some itching, but nothing like yesterday (result of narcotic medications). So, if she holds strong today there is a chance she will be coming home today!! We haven't seen all the rounds of docs yet today, but things are sure pointing in that direction.
